"English Month Celebration"

          Time to shine. Time to glow. Shine bright like a diamond. That's what the english month celebration  aiming to do. The english month celebration was all about the activities that had enhanced the ability of students who participated in english speaking.

          

           The english department had recently held some activities about the english language. Like the speech choir, declamation and the parade of characters. Some activities were already held and some will be nearly held. The participants had enjoyed some of the recently concluded activities whether they had won of losed.

          It is really okay to speak at our own dialect, as the saying goes "ang hindi magmahal sa sariling wika ay higit pa sa amoy ng malansang isda". But we really must speak sometimes in other dialect for a more learning experience.

Reflection:

          This grading period was full of work. Full of work but full of laughter. We helped each other to complete any task given to us.In this grading period the true sense of unity came across us. And I am so happy that we are still together, working and facing any problem together. 

Science Month

          We all need to be united. We all need to work together for our progress. That's what the science month celebration aims for. Our fellow students and science faculty employee had the events for the betterment of the nature.

          "Unravel the causes, Build the solution; Empower the Science Clubbers to Action". This was the years theme for the science month. The science clubbers recently held many events regarding the preserving of the nature. Some of the events was the trashion show, robotics, Ginoo at Binibining Kalikasa, Sci-toy making contest. All of theses events was on the betterment of our nature.They are also encouraging each and everyone of us to please help in preserving our beloved nature.

         Helping each and everyone will make this dream come true.

"My Teacher My Hero"

          You are my mom. You are my father. You are my bestfriend. You are complete. You almost have everything. Everything we need to be developed and socialized, you have it all. I know every little thing you do was for my sake and also for theirs. We all need you for our daily life. We can't be at our position now without you. You are my hero. And you are my TEACHER.

          I salute our very simple heroes. They do not wear cape nor have superpowers, but they are the best heroes ever. They are unlike the heroes in television that can save lives. But they save lives through teaching. They save lives through teaching because they can save our future. They believe that the children are our future. So we must salute our modern day heroes for they sacrifice their time, their energy, their effort and everything just to teach us new things. I believe that they must be salute and respect. 

          We must give due respect for our teachers. And sorry for anything we do that brought them to their limits.  

Modern Day Heroes

          Heroes can fly. Heroes have extraordinary powers. They seem to do everything they wanted to. They can have they wanted to. They all wears an elegant costumes. Have their own lines that made them popular. But do all heroes are supernatural?

          Everyone can be heroes of their own. Me, you and they can be heroes of our own deeds. We must salute every little things that others do to us. I salute our fellow nurses and doctors. They are the best heroes for me. They do not wear caps they even don't have any powers but they save lives. They are our modern day heroes. They are sacrificing their time for them to save lives. We must salute them. They do not choose whom they will save at. Like the nurses and doctors at Zamboanga. They do not care even if the patient are civilians or even terrorists all they care was to do their jobs. They save lives without any hesitations. They are my idol and they are my heroes.

          Be a hero of yours. You can be a hero without saving lives. By simply helping others you are a hero. Let's help each other and let's all be a hero.

  "Wika Natin ang

Daang Matuwid"

               Manuel L. Quezon is the Father of Filipino Language. He and Dr. Jose Rizal gave importance to our own language. Dr. Jose Rizal even sacrifice his life to open the eyes of every Filipino to fight for our freedom and to use our own language.

               This month, the Filipino department is currently celebrating the "Buwan ng Wika" with the theme "Wika Natin ang Daang Matuwid". They are currently conducting some competative events regarding the importance of the usage  of our native language. This activity shall encourage the students to use their own language in honor to our countrymen who scarifies for our freedom. This celebration will also make our fellow students more nationalist. 

               So may we take the true meaning of this celebration. And may we also do something to show our love for our country even for just using our own native language.

              Seventh month and fourth Monday of the year. It is the day where we are all gathered and united to listen to a very special statement. A statement that we may recognized or we may criticized. It is the SONA or State Of the Nation Address.

               President Benigno Simeon Aquino III recently had his fourth State Of the Nation Address last July 22, 2013. In his SONA honorable President Aquino talked about things that he did to make the Philippines progressed. He told so much things, but does this all things were enough to reach out each Pilipino in our counry? It was not enough right? So I suppose this State Of the Nation Address or SONA must be called State Of the Nonsense Achievements. It is because every SONA was useless. They always talk and talk but less work.
              
               He also compared his administration to the past administration. He maybe saying that his administration was better than of the past. But to what? He really did compare but his work was also not enough. He maybe better than the others but his did were still lacking. He had so many projects but he can't implement it.

               But the thing I really liked most was the time that he recognized the three police officials in different places that did a great thing. This police officials lift up the name of Philippine National Police from it's not so good impression. They say that the Philippine National Police was the most corrupt department but because of this three members of the Philippine National Police the name of the said department was again rising.

               That was all about the SONA of President Aquino and I hope this statement must not hurt his feelings. I wrote this for it is my insights and may he take this as a good criticisms for him to achieve harder and do more.

Nating Wakasan"

               Month of July, It's the month to be healthy. Everyone must eat vegetables and be healthy. This month is all about being healthy.

               Our school, the Ilocos Sur National High School is currently celebrating the Nutrition Month with the  theme "Gutom at Malnutrisyon, Sama-sama Nating Wakasan". We are celebrating the nutritiong month in a healthy way. We are currently conducting the food fest. The said activity was for all classes. All class are eligible to join. They will cook a healthy and nutritious food to be sold and served to all campus students. All campus students will be buying foods to the students joining the said event. And in July 12 they will be helding an extemporaneous speaking. And we have our candidate. And for the last activity, our school will be conducting a fun run.

               We are conducting all this activity to be healthy. So must all be caring our self to be healthy. Be healthy for a better future

Dear Mr. President:

       Greetings!!!

    

        I am a student of one of the high schools here in Iocos Sur. I wrote this letter for you to receive my dearest message.

        As a student, I just want that the quality of education must be improved. I am now a fourth year student and soon to be graduating. And I just wanna tell you that I am not that satisfied enough in terms of the quality of education in the secondary level and even other educational level. And as an example I shall open the issue about bullying. As a normal student I have suffered bullying and i know how it feels to be bullied. And for some the existence of bullying have affected their study so much. For some, they can't focus at their study because of the psychological effect of bullying and what's even worst is that, for others who were bullied so much they turned to be an out of school youth. They turned to be like this because of fear, fear to students that will bully them.

        And as a graduating student I would like to wish for you Mr. President to do something about it. Form some project or memorandum that may change this phase of a students life. Please do something about it before the end of your term, and do this as a gift for us students.
