Daang Matuwid"

               Manuel L. Quezon is the Father of Filipino Language. He and Dr. Jose Rizal gave importance to our own language. Dr. Jose Rizal even sacrifice his life to open the eyes of every Filipino to fight for our freedom and to use our own language.

               This month, the Filipino department is currently celebrating the "Buwan ng Wika" with the theme "Wika Natin ang Daang Matuwid". They are currently conducting some competative events regarding the importance of the usage  of our native language. This activity shall encourage the students to use their own language in honor to our countrymen who scarifies for our freedom. This celebration will also make our fellow students more nationalist. 

               So may we take the true meaning of this celebration. And may we also do something to show our love for our country even for just using our own native language.

              Seventh month and fourth Monday of the year. It is the day where we are all gathered and united to listen to a very special statement. A statement that we may recognized or we may criticized. It is the SONA or State Of the Nation Address.

               President Benigno Simeon Aquino III recently had his fourth State Of the Nation Address last July 22, 2013. In his SONA honorable President Aquino talked about things that he did to make the Philippines progressed. He told so much things, but does this all things were enough to reach out each Pilipino in our counry? It was not enough right? So I suppose this State Of the Nation Address or SONA must be called State Of the Nonsense Achievements. It is because every SONA was useless. They always talk and talk but less work.
              
               He also compared his administration to the past administration. He maybe saying that his administration was better than of the past. But to what? He really did compare but his work was also not enough. He maybe better than the others but his did were still lacking. He had so many projects but he can't implement it.

               But the thing I really liked most was the time that he recognized the three police officials in different places that did a great thing. This police officials lift up the name of Philippine National Police from it's not so good impression. They say that the Philippine National Police was the most corrupt department but because of this three members of the Philippine National Police the name of the said department was again rising.

               That was all about the SONA of President Aquino and I hope this statement must not hurt his feelings. I wrote this for it is my insights and may he take this as a good criticisms for him to achieve harder and do more.

Nating Wakasan"

               Month of July, It's the month to be healthy. Everyone must eat vegetables and be healthy. This month is all about being healthy.

               Our school, the Ilocos Sur National High School is currently celebrating the Nutrition Month with the  theme "Gutom at Malnutrisyon, Sama-sama Nating Wakasan". We are celebrating the nutritiong month in a healthy way. We are currently conducting the food fest. The said activity was for all classes. All class are eligible to join. They will cook a healthy and nutritious food to be sold and served to all campus students. All campus students will be buying foods to the students joining the said event. And in July 12 they will be helding an extemporaneous speaking. And we have our candidate. And for the last activity, our school will be conducting a fun run.

               We are conducting all this activity to be healthy. So must all be caring our self to be healthy. Be healthy for a better future

Dear Mr. President:

       Greetings!!!

    

        I am a student of one of the high schools here in Iocos Sur. I wrote this letter for you to receive my dearest message.

        As a student, I just want that the quality of education must be improved. I am now a fourth year student and soon to be graduating. And I just wanna tell you that I am not that satisfied enough in terms of the quality of education in the secondary level and even other educational level. And as an example I shall open the issue about bullying. As a normal student I have suffered bullying and i know how it feels to be bullied. And for some the existence of bullying have affected their study so much. For some, they can't focus at their study because of the psychological effect of bullying and what's even worst is that, for others who were bullied so much they turned to be an out of school youth. They turned to be like this because of fear, fear to students that will bully them.

        And as a graduating student I would like to wish for you Mr. President to do something about it. Form some project or memorandum that may change this phase of a students life. Please do something about it before the end of your term, and do this as a gift for us students.
